Nothing deflates an artists ego like not being able to draw a thumb/chair/animal/can of spam/whatever even though you've done it a hundred times before.

yeah i know exactly how you feel. its a tough thing doing what you love but then being reluctant to do it cause you don't want to suck. being an artist is not easy at all.

Ali always tells me "You should want to work, you're an artist."

I DO want to work, I just don't want to suck whilst working... hence the reluctance.
